AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES FOR KIDS

Because creativity fuels regulation and parents need a smidge more time to finish adulting.

After school hours can be trickier than a one-handed french braid. So we created a bunch of flexible options to bring some sanity back to the day.

Days:

  • Monday - Thursday

Hours:

  • 3:30p - 5p (optional add on for 5p - 6p)

What:

  • Different creative activity every day

Included Snack:

  • Every single activity includes a hearty protein snack and open fruit bar (because these babies need fuel for creativity!)

The options:

  • Sign up for one
  • Sign up for many
  • Sign up for a membership and get a bunch of perks

That’s it.  

Actually, that’s not it: there’s a transportation obstacle from school to the studio that some parents need a solution for. We can discuss options for this on an individual basis. Just reach out.

Morning Session • Afternoon Session • All Day

Wonder Day: School's Out Creative Fun

Because creating through art and food is way better than tech zombieing.

Days off school can be like riding a unicycle barefoot. They're fun, they're special, and they require an old pro to balance. So we planned a bunch of fun activities for those days to give kids a place to release that no-school energy and parents a guilt free pass.

When:

  • Whenever Shawnee Mission School District is off + a few times St. Agnes is off + Custom Dates where 5 or more kids are interested.

Hours:

  • Morning Session: 8:30a - 11:00a
  • Afternoon Session: 12p - 2:30p
  • Choose Both: 8:30a - 2:30p
    (includes a bonus reset hour for lunch, yoga, and restoring our creativity)

What:

  • Different creative activity every day inspired by cultural traditions around the world. Morning is for art; afternoon is for baking.

The options:

  • Sign up for a morning art session
  • Sign up for an afternoon baking session
  • Choose both for all day fun and get a bonus mid-day hour for home brought lunch, yoga, and restoring our creativity.

flexible play for real life

The Wonder Lab

Come hang out and make something cool. That's really what the Wonder Lab is all about.

Every experience includes:

A creative hangout where kids get to explore, build, mix, and make - while parents participate, work, or finally finish something on their to do list.

The Experience

Kids get to pick their creative medium for the day:

  • Create through art
  • Create through potions
  • Create through small world building

After selecting their medium, children are invited into the Curio Library.

  • This room is full of cultural inspiration from around the world, waiting and ready for kids to explore as inspiration for their creation.
  • Super cool stuff, but not precious - so even the littles get to enjoy.

Then, then they get to work.

  • The Wonder Lab Creative Bar is fully stocked with loose parts for kids to select the perfect material to bring their creation to life.
  • Paint, glitter, glue, and all the things you secretly hide at home.

Adult Participation

The Wonder Lab is an instructor hosted experience, which means adults get to pick how they want to engage.

  • Stay at the Studio: Engage in an activity with your kiddo or ...hide. Just kidding (maybe).

  • Co-work : Who doesn't love a good co-working space with their kiddo?! Complimentary wifi, coffee, and focus included.

  • Drop Off: Grab a coffee, run that errand, speed clean the house, or just breathe. We're a judgement free zone and are cheering for your alone time.
